Assistant Teaching Professor, Chemistry

The Gannon University Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences seeks an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. This position is a nine-month faculty position responsible for teaching in the undergraduate program in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, beginning August 2023. Teaching-track faculty work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver instruction, advise students, participate in professional development, and engage in service to the University and to the community. There are no scholarship requirements associated with this position. The Assistant Teaching Professor will instruct 27 credit hours in the academic year. Specific teaching responsibilities will include introductory and general chemistry lectures and laboratories for science and health professions majors. The candidate may have the opportunity to teach upper-level courses within the chemistry curriculum that align with the candidate's expertise.

Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. degree in chemistry or a closely-related field. Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
