Senior Lecturer in American Studies and History with Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN)
The American Studies and Public Policy Studies Programs at Vanderbilt University seek to make a non-tenure track, full-time appointment in the role of Senior Lecturer, responsible for teaching a proficiency-based curriculum at all levels that focuses on the disciplinary histories of American Studies and Public Policy Studies. The Senior Lecturer will instruct students on the role of these fields in higher education writ large, as well as participate in and plan extracurricular events and experiences that define American Studies at Vanderbilt University.
This position is responsible for teaching the following courses, including but not limited to: Introduction to American Studies (AMER 1002W); Writing for Social Change (AMER 1700W); History and Ethics of Public Policy (PPS 2250); American Journeys (AMER 3890); American Intellectual History since 1865 (HIST 2750); and Anti-Americanism Past and Present (AMER 3890).
Requirements: Requires a Ph.D. in History, American Studies, Public Policy Studies, or related field.
