Admissions Representative, Genesee County Region



Roles

Northwood University seeks a dynamic individual to fill the role of Admissions Representative in the Genesee County, Michigan region. Based in Flint Township, this Admissions Representative position will recruit for the DeVos Graduate Programs, the Adult Degree Programs and transfer students for the Midland Traditional campus. The Admissions Representative is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with corporations, local organizations, and community colleges in an effort to generate qualified applicants and new students for Northwood University. Admissions Representatives are responsible for working with a portfolio of students from inquiry to conversion.

Responsibilities
  • Educate corporations, local organizations and community colleges about Northwood University and the Northwood Idea
  • Report directly to the Director of Admissions for the Adult Degree Program to achieve defined enrollment goals
  • Generate inquiries throughout assigned territory that lead to new students
  • Participate in additional community functions as requested
  • Contact inquires and any additional leads generated from various sources to establish interest and set appointments with prospective students
  • Guide prospective students through the admissions process
  • Participate in meetings and training seminars
  • Support and assist the University’s admissions team with their responsibilities
  • Achieve lead generation, application and start goals
  • Develop and maintain consistent referral generation activities
  • Submit activity and expense reports in a timely manner
  • Document all recruitment activities in the CRM system
  • Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:
  • Based out of the Flint Program Center, this position involves building relationships with community colleges and corporate partnerships
  • Prolonged sitting and standing
  • Some travel required
  • Adhere to Northwood University’s Admissions Staff Dress Code
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and meet NU insurability standards
Qualifications
  • Possess a Bachelor Degree (preferably in Business, Marketing or other related programs).
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and meet NU insurability standards.
  • Have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in admissions recruitment.
    Have demonstrated experience working in teams, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Work with culturally diverse populations.
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
