Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach MSAS 621-Aviation/Aerospace Safety Program Management.
Course Description
This course is designed to ensure that the student has a detailed comprehension of the need for safety programs, the vital role management plays in safety, the relationship of human factors in mishaps, an awareness of identifying risk, and problem areas before an accident occurs. Understand the relationship between safety management and other quality management standards. This course will familiarize graduate students with the information applicable to organizational accident prevention and development of accident prevention programs with an emphasis on the key elements of Safety Management Systems. The focus is on the influence of 'management' in carrying out Safety.
Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.

Applicant Qualifications
Doctoral degree that has a dissertation, cognate, or 18 graduate credit hours in any of the Teaching Disciplines within the doctoral program will be deemed a Related Discipline.
Instructors must have specific professional experience related to Aviation Safety Program Management. Formal safety management education or training is required. Flight/ Aviation Safety Officers ideally have experience managing an aviation safety program at Wing-level or higher (or equivalent).
