Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach MSAS 612- Aviation/Aerospace Industrial Safety Management.
Course Description
This course is designed to provide an overview of the breadth of the safety practitioner's responsibilities in the aviation/aerospace industrial environment. The role of safety within the management organization and roles and responsibilities of the safety professional will be discussed. The student will have a broad understanding of the regulatory workings of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Federal Aviation Administration. In addition, relevant regulatory requirements will be outlined and strategies for workplace hazard identification and abatement to maintain compliance with these regulations will also be covered.
Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.
Qualifications
Applicant Qualifications
Doctoral degree that has a dissertation, cognate, or 18 graduate credit hours in any of the Teaching Disciplines within the doctoral program will be deemed a Related Discipline.
The applicant must have valid Occupational Safety and Health (Industrial Safety) experience.
Applicable Professional Certification
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) {Board of Certified Safety Professionals} Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) {American Board of Industrial Hygiene}
