Coordinator/Assistant Director of Compliance

Salary: $37,000-$42,000

 

Summary:       

Under the supervision of the Director of Compliance, the Coordinator/Assistant Director of Compliance works to implement and monitor the regulations of Miami University, the NCAA, the Mid-American Conference, and the National Collegiate Hockey Conference for 19 sports and more than 550 student-athletes. The Miami Athletics Compliance Office is seeking any and all skill sets that can be utilized to directly or indirectly impact the day-to-day operations of the compliance office.

 

Duties/Physical Demands:

Coordinator: Based on experience and skill set, this individual supports the Director of Compliance in administering a successful NCAA Division I compliance program. This includes, but is not limited to the development and implementation of rules education, recruiting monitoring, forms tracking, roster management, interpretations, coordinating playing and practice seasons, squad lists, NLI program, complimentary admissions, camp approvals, transcript evaluations, IRL activations, official visits, financial aid agreement preparation, coordinating MAC time obligations program.

 

Asst Director: In addition to the above duties, this position will be involved with the transfer portal, drafting waivers, eligibility certification, NCAA reporting, supervision of internship program, working with cross-campus partners.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

Coordinator: 1 year of experience within college athletics or a related field (FT, GA, or intern)

Asst Dir: 1 year of experience within a D1 Compliance (FT, GA, or intern)

 

Desired Qualifications:

Master’s degree or law degree

Division I NCAA compliance experience

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and direct manner

Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and promote an inclusive work environment
