JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Experiential Learning, the Manager of Experiential Pathways will be responsible for developing, executing, and sustaining project-based learning programs, Ph.D. and master's level research opportunities, and summer experiential learning programs at the Roux Institute. This work will be done in conjunction with the Partnerships, Academic, and Research teams. The core mission of this role is to provide learners with opportunities to engage in short-term, academically relevant and applied experiences that align with the Institute's research and learning domains. The person in this role will:
- Cultivate and develop partner sponsored projects that align
with the Roux's academic programs and meet the growing demand for
project-based, experiential learning opportunities.
- Develop and coordinate short-term research opportunities for undergraduate, master's and Ph.D. students that support the work of the academic and research faculty teams and allow learners to engage with faculty on their research in meaningful and impactful ways.
- Build and deliver immersive summer programs for undergraduate and graduate level learners that are experiential, impactful, and expose learners to the innovative, high-quality programs at the Roux.
The person in this role will:
- Collaborate with sponsoring partners, Roux faculty, and others responsible for experiential partnerships to identify, scope and integrate industry-inspired projects or opportunities into academic courses or other co-curricular vehicles.
- Establish, develop, nurture, and sustain relationships with company partners and Roux faculty that facilitate the sponsorship of exceptional, best-fit authentic work opportunities for learners participating in project-based or short term experiential learning programs including but not limited to industry-inspired projects, research opportunities and shorter term explorations or internships.
- Develop and manage innovative, impactful and immersive summer programs that engage learners in real world, hands on experiences and align with the Roux's learning, research, and entrepreneurship domains. Manage the full life cycle of program events including promotion, recruitment, logistics, teaching, and assessment.
- Provide monitoring and reporting by tracking sponsor and client interactions using online database(s) and learning platforms such as Salesforce and Canvas to maintain records in accordance with relevant policies and develop other tracking/measuring and assessment resources as needed to support, sustain, and scale the program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree strongly preferred along with 3-4 years of professional work experience building, managing, and assessing educational programs that incorporate real world content.
- Experience with project-based learning preferred.
- Experience working with diverse constituents in higher education (i.e., various employers, disciplines, students, faculty, and administration).
- Work effectively with people of varying cultures and diversity.
- Experience teaching, advising in career development or experiential learning a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (including Teams), Salesforce, Canvas, database programs and data management and analysis.
- Excellent skills in relationship building, advising/teaching, event planning, marketing, and data base management preferred.
- This position requires an individual who is passionate about contextualized learning, experienced in program management, goal oriented, skilled in presentation delivery, extremely organized, professional and has a high level of customer service.
