The Reed College Department of Psychology anticipates a two-year position (with possible renewal for a third year) in SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY to begin August 2023. The selected individual will teach four courses each year (two each semester), including a team-taught introductory psychology course with lab, a core course in social psychology with lab, and two seminars in their area of expertise. The individual will also supervise year-long senior thesis projects. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D., but strong ABD applicants will be considered. We especially welcome applications from candidates with experience teaching undergraduates. Reed College is a community that values cultural diversity and inclusive educational practices as essential to the excellence of our academic program. In your cover letter, please address how your scholarship, teaching, mentoring, and/or community service might support the commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion articulated in Reed College's diversity and anti-racism statements (http://www.reed.edu/diversity). Applications should include a CV, statements of teaching and research interests, three letters of recommendation, and any other materials that will help us assess the candidate's teaching and research experience. An Equal Opportunity Employer, Reed values diversity and encourages applications from members of underrepresented groups. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Send materials to Jennifer Corpus, chair of the search committee, at http://apply.interfolio.com/123948.
