Postdoctoral Fellow – Lung and Vascular Regeneration, Dr. Yuan Laboratory

The Shock, Trauma, and Anesthesiology Research (STAR Center) Center and the
Center for Stem Cell Biology & Regenerative Medicine at the University of Maryland
School of Medicine are currently recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to join the Yuan
laboratory with a potential starting date of August 1, 2023, to work on the lung
vasculature. The current focus in Yuan laboratory includes 1) Understanding the lung
vascular niche during diseases and development using multi-omics and whole organ
culture strategies; 2) Developing lung vascular and alveolar tissue models for drug
screening applications by incorporating human iPSC technology and bioengineering
principles. This excellent research opportunity will provide extensive training in cellular
and molecular biology, bioengineering, and computational biology in a translationoriented environment. These highly translational projects are funded by NHLBI and AHA
and involve both human subjects and rodent animals.
