The College of Arts and Sciences (https://college.indiana.edu/) at Indiana University in Bloomington invites applications for a tenured Associate or Full Professor position with the African American and African Diaspora Studies department to begin in Fall 2023. IU has long been an international leader in research on cognition across humans, animals, and artificial systems, and in the study of intelligence as it manifests in embodied cognition. We seek individuals with active research agendas and expertise in the role of religion in racial politics and/or African American literary history, with special emphasis on the civil rights movement and who are committed to excellence in scholarship and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Applicants must have a PhD in an appropriate area, active research agendas and expertise in the role of religion in racial politics and/or African American literary history.
