Job Description

This position will oversee (BMI) grant and contract activities, which includes direct responsibility for pre-award and post-award functions. Assist (supervisor) with the general administration and fiscal oversight of the Informatics Center.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in preparation of grant applications, proposals, contract budgets, status reports and financial statements
• Process and monitor grants, contracts, and other fiscal activities
• Ensure expenditures on both internal and external awards to be compliant with Sponsors’ guidelines
• Interact with University contract administers and funding agency officers to provide information, resolve problems, or coordinate site visits
• Review contracts and other legal documents, coordinating execution of the same.
• Review prepared reports for errors or potential problems prior to release to external agencies or other University entities.
• Act as liaison with external departments to facilitate a collaborative environment on both grant and non-grant business.
• Review contracts and other legal documents, coordinating execution of the same.
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets and budget adjustments including effort verification and forecasting. Includes overseeing or preparing payroll correcting entries.
• Conduct fiscal and operational studies and present findings to supervisor and Associate Dean.
• Perform reconciliation of internal records in university financial system
• Recommend strategies, policies and procedures for the development of an external funding base; develop and communicate planning assumptions and guidelines.
• Engage in appropriate professional development

Salary

Salary Range: $48,900 - $88,730 annually

Grade: GGS - 010

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
