Sidwell Friends School, a coeducational Quaker day school with campuses in NW Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD is seeking robotics team assistant coaches supporting grades 9-12. This position provides support and supervision of students in the classroom. Responsibilities will include supervising students during weekend robotics team meetings and competitions.
Successful candidates will possess at least a high school diploma and prior experience working with children; bachelors level course work is a plus. Additional qualifications include strong technology skills, organization and communication skills, flexibility, patience, sense of humor, and a demonstrated love for working with students. Robotics and/or Engineering experience is a plus but not a requirement.
This is an hourly position and the candidate must be able to work either Sundays 12-4pm or Fridays 4-8pm and would be expected to chaperone the competitions at the end of each season. The position is available for the 2023-2024 school year. Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification is required; however, if you are not CPR/AED certified you will have the opportunity to complete the course upon hire.
Teaching positions at Sidwell Friends School are campus-based; therefore, this position requires teaching in person.
