The data analyst will perform complex statistical analysis using software packages like SAS and R on data sets within the realm of hemostasis and thrombosis. Involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting a wide variety of research data. Designs and conducts research including selecting data samples, compiling data, developing research instruments, analyzing collected information according to established statistical methods, and developing recommendations based on research findings. Prepares reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to interpret and communicate data and present results. The incumbent will independently perform complex statistical computations, plan, write, and contribute to manuscript development for studies requiring complex statistical methodology; provide consultation regarding the analytical approach for studies of complexity and scope; and provide guidance, training, and mentorship to residents, fellows, and others on moderate to complex statistical issues.
