Be yourself and start your career here. Help us build a better Brockport! Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions. The person in this role is a key member of the Admissions leadership team. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director will coordinate key on-campus recruitment events such as Summer/Fall Open Houses and Accepted Student Days. In addition, the successful candidate will provide leadership and oversight for staff who coordinate secondary on- and off-campus events. The Assistant Director will also provide oversight for our digital communication plan to first-year students and other populations of high school students. The Assistant Director develops, maintains, and executes the digital communication plan. The digital communication plan includes email delivery, text messaging, surveys, event creation and invitations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • 3-5 Years of supervision experience. Supervision includes professional and classified staff, students, or other direct reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, public speaking, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience in planning and executing developmental or informational programming.
  • Demonstrate commitment and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and constituents in support of campus and department mission.
  • Currently hold a valid/active NYS driver's license.
  • Comfortable driving to various locations to support off-campus recruitment activities.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Master's Degree or 7 years of progressive experience in higher education.
  • Knowledge of and experience with SLATE and Banner or other admissions databases and Student Information Systems.
    Work Schedule: 8am - 4pm
    Salary and Benefits: Minimum Salary is $57,846. May be benefits eligible; more information at Careers@Brockport. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
