Full-Time, Tenure Track for September 2023


The College invites applications for a full time, tenure track Instructor, Computer Science, to begin September 2023. We seek candidates who are committed to Brookdale’s mission of success and academic excellence, and who desire to work in a diverse and dynamic environment. In addition to excellent academic credentials and subject area knowledge, candidates will bring to the College a love of teaching, an enthusiastic desire to assist students, and an eagerness to contribute to the Brookdale community. Candidates will demonstrate a passion for lifelong learning, inside and outside of the classroom.


Master’s degree in Computer Science or Master’s degree in another field with a Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems/Technology from an accredited institution. Evidence of an understanding of people with diverse backgrounds, abilities and needs. Commitment to continued professional growth and departmental service. Evidence of understanding about and commitment to the philosophy of a comprehensive community college. Preferred knowledge of Java, Data Structures, Database Design, Systems Analysis, Operating Systems, Algorithm Design, Assembly Language, C++, C#, Python, Mobile Application Development, Web Technologies (HTMLCSS, JavaScript, Node.js, etc.), Web Application Architectures, and the Microsoft Office Suite.


Annual Salary – Mid to high $60’s with benefits. (Faculty Members teaching extra courses or working additional hours during the academic year and in the summer receive additional compensation.)
