Senior Coordinator, Program Management



Summary

The School of Medicine Curriculum (SOM) office is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Program Management. This position will be responsible for the continued development, maintenance, and continuous quality improvement of an innovative and informative Clinical Sciences Curriculum for the School of Medicine Curriculum Office. This person will ensure The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Accreditation (6.2 Faculty On-boarding/Credentialing) requirements are maintained through effective management of the process for all new hires. They will serve as the course coordinator for several clinical electives and will also work directly with curriculum leaders to provide overall support year 1 of the new curriculum and years 2-4 of the old curriculum.

This position facilitates course and program administration for the Central Education department and administratively supports operations to satisfy accreditation standards. This position works with a high level of autonomy and must exercise discretion with high volumes of complex, confidential information. A proven ability to independently manage multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines, screen and prioritize communications and opportunities from external and internal sources and organize and maintain administrative processes is essential to this position. This role will require the following: Professionalism, exceptional customer service skills, ability to work in a team environment, good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Job Duties

• Ensures programs align with and meet compliance and accreditation guidelines; may provide guidance and leadership in the accreditation process.
• Plans, implements, and oversees education programs and activities.
• Works with deans and educational leaders to implement procedures for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) of processes used to administer curriculum.
• Works closely with course faculty and staff to maintain adherence to procedures and deadlines.
• Provides content development support for programs and activities.
• May perform basic fiscal management activities, including financial reporting and/or purchasing
• Participates in comprehensive reviews of the curriculum including information from each course and clerkship for the assessment of the longitudinal curriculum
• Assists with the day-to-day operations of the clinical sciences curriculum and select electives for the SOM educational program.
• Provides administrative support for the Curriculum Office Leadership team or other faculty, including student calendaring for the SOM, scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, and preparing correspondence.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience in faculty onboarding.
