WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead our efforts to use AACOM’s data to create a map of the access to and the value of osteopathic medical education, and the contributions of graduates of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (COMs) in the US. Develop and direct data sharing and data governance policies, maintain AACOM’s data lake, and extract and analyze data from AACOM’s data sources and elsewhere. Identify, integrate, and analyze various data sources (including student, institutional, social, and geographic data) to model, map, and visualize the impact of potential actions that AACOM, its member COMs, policymakers, investors, and civic leaders can take to broaden the ability of graduates of COMs to serve all patients who choose to receive care according to osteopathic principles. This role will be essential in driving and communicating AACOM’s strategic plan to leverage emerging scientific, technological, design, and policy innovations to understand the current state of undergraduate and graduate medical education in the United States.

Qualifications

WHO WE NEED

Our ideal team member will have the following:

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Statistics, Data Science, Econometrics, Social Science Research or a related field
• 5 years of related database and data analysis experience
• OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
• Experience in data aggregation and data governance
• Experience with both database and statistical languages such as SQL, and one of SAS, R, Python or equivalent languages.
• Experience in complex data visualization and knowledge of predictive modeling tools and techniques;
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders in policymaking, philanthropy, and community development, both in writing and verbally;
• Ability to learn new data science techniques and skills to meet organizational needs;
• Experience using data analytics to model actions or policies
• Experience managing others in a project coordination capacity

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This is a full-time position with health, dental, vacation and 401K benefits. The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $160,000 annually.
