Summary:
The Senor Media Technology Specialist is responsible for support of the College's Audio/Visual initiatives in collaboration with internal team members, various College departments, and third-party vendors as needed. These areas include: classroom technology, special events, live streaming, digital signage, and other emerging technologies. This position provides technical support for these areas including but not limited to: support, inventory, integration, licensing, promotion, scheduling, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, this position is responsible for Staffing and support of live events after hours on a rotational basis. This role reports to the Manager, Media Services.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree with six months of experience in a technology support role
OR
Associates Degree with one year of experience in an information technology role, at least 6 months of which were in a technology support role
OR
Three years of experience in an information technology role, at least two years of which were in a technology support role.

Summary of Essential Functions:
Under guidance of a Manager Media Services, performs the following tasks:

Department Operations & Procedures (50%)
1) Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots Smart Classroom Audio/Visual equipment across all campuses. This includes, but is not limited to, execution of preventative maintenance plans and incident management.
2)Provides audio/visual support of live events, including meeting with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met, and set up and tear down of equipment, while providing a high level of customer support.
3)Maintains a detailed inventory of audio visual equipment, supplies, and materials. Prepares obsolete equipment for de-inventory per College policy and provides necessary documentation for auditing purposes.
4)Ensures all audio/visual technology equipment and related materials are fully operational. This includes but is not limited to; inventory, maintenance, delivery, distribution and expert troubleshooting, and continuous maintenance services of all materials.
5)Use Crestron software to update firmware, troubleshoot issues, and modify/upload programs.
6)Use digital and analog mixing consoles, provide knowledge to users on proper mic usage.

Student and Customer Service (20%)
1)Demonstrates Service, Excellence, and Communication towards customers and ensuring student success is at the forefront of all we do, while building the College’s reputation as a premier educational institution.
2)Inventory, scheduling, and delivery of college laptop carts to classroom and other campus events as needed.
3)In collaboration with the Manager, Media Services, communicates with internal staff and external stakeholders on current topics and action plans. Assists clients with recommendations for audio/visual solutions as needed.

Project Leadership (20%)
1) Maintains relationships with industry and professional organizations for the purpose of obtaining evaluative input, and articulating within the academic programs of the College. Attends audio/visual related training and seminars as necessary.
2)Maintains and supports the campus digital signage system ensuring all hardware functionality.
3) Develops and facilitates the preparation of technical and instructional user manuals, computer programs, and other training aids related to the proper use of audio/visual technology and systems.
4) Serves on committees and attends required professional developments seminars and activities.
5)Supports the development and implementation of broadcast equipment for video recording and live streaming, including camera equipment, hardware, and software.

Other Duties (10%)
1)Performs other related duties as assigned.
