DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY
Part-Time Lecturer Pool Position
One or more temporary, part-time
lecturers for a pool from which instructors will be considered for
appointments as they become available for Fall Semester 2023 and/or
Spring Semester 2024.
The Department of Educational Psychology
provides a unique range of professional, academic, and clinical
training for Special Education teachers, Marriage and Family
Therapists (MFT), School Counselors, and School
DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
The Department of Educational
Psychology seeks part-time lecturers to teach courses in MFT,
P.P.S. credential, or special education programs, and/ or supervise
students in fieldwork sites or student learning. Please note that
teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay
include courses at the Hayward, Concord, and Online campuses. The
policy and expectation of the California State University is that
all faculty members will perform all of their duties within the
state of California.
RANK AND SALARY:
Lecturer salary is dependent upon
educational preparation and experience. Position appointment is
subject to budgetary authorization. The salary schedule information
for the Lecturer-Academic Year classification is available based on
the following ranges:
Lecturer AY ( Range 2
): $4,530 -
Lecturer AY ( Range 3
): $5,405 -
Lecturer AY ( Range 4
): $6,190 -
Lecturer AY ( Range 5
): $7,794 -
The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of
the appropriate range, commensurate with education and
DATE OF APPOINTMENT:
Fall Semester begins August 21, 2023
and Spring Semester begins January 16, 2024.
Candidates must have a Master’s degree in
addition to relevant professional experience and credentials or
licenses, including Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family
Therapy, Educational Psychology, Psychology, Special Education,
Education, School Counseling, or School Psychology.
Doctoral degree preferred.
