Admissions Representative, Ohio

This Undergraduate Admissions Representative will be assigned to the state of Ohio and surrounding areas recruiting for Northwood University’s Midland, MI residential campus in an effort to achieve an enrollment goal as established by the Director of Admissions & Enrollment Management. This will be accomplished through high school visits, classroom presentations, attendance at college day/night programs, bus trips to campus, involvement in on-campus open house events, creating and hosting off campus counselor events, interviewing prospective students and families, developing rapport and maintain working relationships with counselors and high school teachers. These responsibilities must be performed in an ethical manner consistent with the University’s mission and vision.

Responsibilities

We expect the Admissions Representative to:

•Report directly to the Director of Admissions & Enrollment Management and achieve a defined enrollment goal, as well as assist the rest of the Admissions team with their responsibilities.
•Submit weekly activity reports and expense reports in a timely manner.




Qualifications

Requirements, Skills and Abilities

•Possess a Bachelor Degree (preferably in Business, Marketing, Education, or other related programs).
•Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Skilled public speaker.
•Teaching/sales background desirable.
•Possess a valid driver’s license.
•Have demonstrated experience working in teams, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
•Have the ability to travel and work evenings and weekends0
•Work with culturally diverse populations.
•Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Working Conditions

•Home office environment required, including internet access
•Prolonged sitting and standing
•Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed
•Some overnight travel required
