Job Duties:
The Assistant Registrar reports to the Registrar and provides curriculum management functions of the Banner Student Information and Degree Works audit systems including program, catalog and schedule maintenance to support the current program offerings of the University. In addition, the Assistant Registrar supports the Registrar's mission for student registration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manages curriculum support of the Provost Office including program updates to records systems, calendars and class schedules.
  • Manages curriculum setup, curriculum adjustments and maintenance in Degree Works audit system.
  • Supports student educational planner design in Degree Works audit system.
  • Provides support for periodic processes related to records management, maintenance, and reporting.
  • Provides support for updating and publishing semester schedules and academic catalogs.
  • Provides support as needed for routine office tasks and inquiries/requests to the Records Office from all customers.
  • Manages purchases for student records office.
  • Serves as a member of an integrated team dedicated to effective management of student records.
  • Complies with and maintains knowledge of all University policies.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Required Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience in higher education records, registration, or related work.
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner or similar ERP, preferred.
  • Experience with Degree Works Controller, Scribe and Transit, preferred.
  • Experience with computer applications for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, etc.
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing with a diverse group of constituents
  • Ability to acquire new skills and develop effective solutions independently to meet new challenges.

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently or with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to maintain technological skills and adapt to changing technology.
  • Proactively engage in problem-solving to improve office processes and responses to stakeholders.
