Job Description
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology invites applications for a non-tenure track lecturer position in geotechnical engineering. The position will commence in September 2023 and have a duration of 1 year.

Responsibilities
• Teach undergraduate soil mechanics and foundation design, graduate courses, and laboratories in geotechnical engineering, and general engineering courses as needed.
• Advise capstone design projects.
• Develop and teach online courses as deemed appropriate.

Qualifications

PhD degree in Civil Engineering with focus on geotechnical engineering.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred but not required.
  • Relevant industry experience is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and commitment to collegiality and teamwork.
  • Candidates with interest in active learning, experiential learning, and student engagement are desirable.
