Job Description

The Hope College Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for one Visiting Assistant Professor position in Elementary Mathematics Education beginning Fall 2023. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal. The primary responsibilities include teaching mathematics classes for pre-service PK-3 and 3-6 teachers with an emphasis on the mathematical knowledge needed for teaching in these grade bands. Opportunities to work with pre-service middle school and secondary mathematics teachers are possible. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

Qualifications

A master’s or doctorate degree in mathematics education, mathematics, or related field is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated experience as a teacher in an elementary or middle school and knowledge and ability to teach undergraduate courses.
