The Institute for Human Development (IHD), a University Center on Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) is an applied research and training center for human services designed to exemplify the University’s goals of engaged scholarship and community partnerships. Its functions include interdisciplinary training, applied research, community program development and information dissemination .

Job Description

Coordinates support functions for the IHD Health and Aging Program to ensure that program goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications. This role has four primary components: communication, monitoring project management, coordinating meetings, and providing logistical support. The Program Support Coordinator will be responsible for the following activities:
  • Manage day-to-day communication for the Health and Aging Program. Prepare letters, email, social media, and content for infographics, flyers, or newsletters. Coordination and collaborate with the IHD Information Dissemination Team.
  • Serve as point of contact among employees, partners, and other external stakeholders. Manage and coordinate subcontracts and invoicing logistics.
  • Coordinate the development and dissemination of reports of the Health and Aging Program (routing for content reviews, formatting, proofreading, printing, distribution).
  • Develop and monitor project management processes including the use of tools (e.g., software or applications) to manage large, complex, and multiuser projects.
  • Serve as the assistant to the Program Director or Project Coordinator including managing calendar and scheduling, making travel arrangements, and performing other tasks as needed.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings and events for the Health and Aging Program.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes and notes for the Health and Aging Program.
  • Serve as the National Information and Reporting System (NIRS) liaison for the Health and Aging Program (coordinating data entry and reviewing the function’s activities to ensure reporting is complete and accurate).
  • Prepare and process purchasing requests for the Health and Aging Program and monitor their fulfillment.
  • Provide support to the administrative team, which may include but is not limited to data entry, filing, and other activities as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

  • Experience with electronic survey platforms, e.g. Qualtrics, RedCap
  • Demonstrated relevant training and experience that provides the following knowledge, abilities, and skills:
  • Outstanding planning, communication & organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and problem-solve
  • Attention to details
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with project partners
  • Ability to develop and coordinate standardized program support processes
  • Willingness to take initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project, and Word)

Salary

$17.43-$24.40 per hour, commensurate on education, experience, and internal equity
