Job Description Summary
The Pan-Asian American Community House is a hub of academic, personal, and professional growth for University of Pennsylvania students interested in Asian American culture and the Asian American Diaspora. Through advising, leadership development, advocacy, social and cultural programming we expand student access to the University's resources.

The Director provides collaborative leadership and administrative oversight of the Pan Asian American Community House (PAACH). The director leads the strategic planning, development, and implementation of co-curricular, cultural and social programs for students and student organizations with an emphasis on Asian Pacific American diasporic programming.

The Director assists in programming to support the recruitment and retention of undergraduate, graduate and professional students from diverse backgrounds. The Director collaborates with student groups affiliated with the center, cultural resource center colleagues, and other university entities to connect students to all resources relevant to their academic, professional, personal, leadership development. Position reports to the Associate Vice Provost for University Life - Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging.

Job Description

Duties:
  • Provides leadership and administrative oversight for the day-to-day operations and programming of the Pan-Asian American Community House, including supervising full-time staff, graduate assistants, and undergraduate employees.
  • Advises and supports student organizations to create, implement, and assess co-curricular programming and community building initiatives. Collaborates with various undergraduate, graduate, and professional student groups.
  • Collaborates with Cultural Resource Center colleagues, University Life, academic units, alumni, and various campus stakeholders to support student engagement, development, and success.
  • Support the operation of the ARCH building, in conjunction with University Life Space and Events team.
  • Delivers presentations and serves on various university committees to represent the interests of the Pan-Asian American community, the Cultural Resource Centers and University Life.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications:

Master's required. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in higher education administrations, program development and management, preferably in student affairs or equivalent combination of experience and education. Strong knowledge of Asian/Pacific American community required; excellent interpersonal, supervisory, organizational, and communication skills required; proven ability to interact effectively with diverse constituencies.

Targeted Pay Range:

$75K-90K Commensurate with education and experience.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
