Job Description

The Video Operations Coordinator manages and directs all video and technology needs of the Football program. Directly managing a team of students, the Video Operations Coordinator oversees the filming and editing of every practice and game for coaching evaluation. The Video Operations Coordinator also manages the internal Catapult video network and facilitates weekly film exchange with FBS / FCS peers. The Video Operations Coordinator serves as the liaison between the football staff and ITS . The Video Operations Coordinator will support the creative video team on all projects related to produced football content (internal and external). This individual will also complete various other tasks as assigned by the Head Coach.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least one year experience working in a division I college football video department.

  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and a commitment to rules compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, and project a professional attitude.
  • ·Ability to support gender and diversity commitment of the department.
  • Proficient in XOS /Catapult Software, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Windows & MacOS.
  • Extensive knowledge of modern video cameras/software
  • Strong understanding of the game of football (i.e., positions, drill types)
  • Strong ability to communicate and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of network connectivity and AV services.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a State of New York driver’s license and must be able to comply with all university requirements pertaining to driving on state business.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet requirements under pressure and willingness to work extended hours.
  • Must possess the ability to meet project deadlines and work under time constraint pressures.
  • Good organizational, communication, leadership, and computer skills.
  • Strong commitment and ability to work well with student-athletes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the internal video network by providing the staff with video and data breakdowns in an efficient manner.
  • Directing and coordinating the filming of games and practices for coaching evaluations using our remote camera system and handheld cameras.
  • Maintaining all in-house technology for the Football Operations Center and Ensley Athletic Center.
  • Administering responsibilities / professional development of interns and student-assistants.
  • Assisting the creative video team on all projects related to produced football content (internal and external).
  • Other duties as assigned
