Major/Essential Functions
The TTUHSC Division of Research Innovation, Collaboration, and Entrepreneurship (RICE) Program Director will focus on research development, education, technical support, and outreach to support successful inter-professional research collaborations both internally and externally.
Core responsibilities will include
- Executive support to the Vice Presidents of Research & Innovation in the development of infrastructure and outreach to advance on the institution's research strategic priorities.
- Develop and maintain an organizational structure that supports collaborative research activities across our institution and enhances our current research strengths, with emphasis in areas of cancer, brain health, and telehealth by collaborating with stakeholders.
- Develop collaborative research teams by enabling team formation around projects and facilitate team progress through milestone driven programming. Track team progress by building project management reporting structures.
- Develop and maintain collaborative programs with TTUS peer institutions and partners, including facilitating outreach events to bring research communities together.
- Support research proposal development; identify funding opportunities, technical editing, and coordinating successful submission for large-scale collaborative grants.
- Coordinate external educational seminars and speakers that educate on grantsmanship best practices.
- Coordinate new researcher orientation bi-annually to educate faculty on research administration process and resources.
- Coordinate institutional limited submission peer review process.
- Provide executive support to the Senior Vice President with wide array of tasks.
- Support RICE team with duties as assigned.
