The Department of English at Rice University in Houston, Texas, invites applications for a one-semester position as Lecturer starting July 1, 2023. We are seeking applicants with expertise in Black literary and cultural studies who will teach two courses in the fall 2023 semester. One course is Intro to African American Literature and the other course will be in Black film or media studies.

Requirements
  • Applicants must have an M.A. degree in hand by July 1, 2023, and experience teaching Black literary and cultural studies.
  • A Ph.D is preferred.
