Lasell University is seeking a full-time Assistant (or Associate) Professor in its Education Program. The Lasell Education Program offers initial teacher certification in the state of Massachusetts in Elementary Education, Early Childhood, English and Secondary Education, History and Secondary Education, and Education Curriculum and Instruction.

The candidate selected for this position will join a collaborative and innovative faculty who are dedicated to excellence and equity in education at all levels. We will be reviewing candidates with expertise in teaching one or more of the following areas: STEM, educational leadership, and practicum supervision. Preference will be given to candidates who have knowledge and teaching experience in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), bilingual education, and culturally sustaining pedagogy. The candidate should be practitioner-oriented with extensive previous K-12 school teaching experience required. Terminal degree or ABD required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Earned doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, Curriculum Studies, Curriculum and Teaching, Educational Studies, STEM Education, Educational Leadership, Bilingual Education, Teaching and Assessment, or related field;
  • Practical subject area teaching expertise;
  • Five years of K-12 teaching experience
  • Experience teaching culturally and linguistically diverse students.
  • Experience teaching online and with digital tools
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality teaching and learning with diverse student populations.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse constituents including faculty, staff, students, community leaders and individuals of all backgrounds
