The newly formed Center for Race, Inequality, and Social Equity Studies (CRISES) in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University seeks a Senior Research Scholar or Research Scholar who will work with the Faculty Director and the Director of Administration to develop new programs, strategies, and initiatives to advance the academic and research agenda of the Center. Primary responsibilities will include conducting an annual or semi-annual nationally representative web-based social scientific survey on issues of Race, Diversity, and Democracy in America; overseeing a biennial topical conference and a regular workshop/speaker series; providing mentorship and guidance to visiting scholars and graduate student researchers; partnering with the Hutchins Center to manage the ongoing operations of the journal Du Bois Review: Social Science Research on Race; building relationships with both internal and external constituencies; and developing grant proposals.
