Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Associate Director will support the mission of the Center for Inclusive Excellence and Global Engagement (CIEGE) by creating, implementing, and supervising people and initiatives that focus on student recruitment, retention, leadership development, and the overall student experience for students with historically underrepresented and/or marginalized identities. This person will coordinate and oversee mentorship, leadership, and intercultural programs and initiatives that uplifts a sense of belonging for EKU students. This person will work collaboratively across campus to plan, coordinate, and execute programmatic celebrations of historical, national, and international history and heritage months.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: -Master's Degree
-Degree in Student Personnel Services, Higher Education Administration, or in an academic discipline or related field is preferred.
Experience: -Three years' experience working in a university setting; Demonstrated Ability to work with diverse students.
-Experience working with and managing underrepresented populations.
-Student development theory, counseling and leadership development.
-Current on higher education trends and issues with impact on retention of diverse students.

Job Duties:
- 50% - Plans, coordinates, and supervises programs, initiatives, and experiences that aid in the recruitment and retention of underrepresented students through leadership development, global awareness, and enriching the overall student experience. Support and participate in the recruitment of underrepresented students through community connections and collaboration with departments that lead recruitment efforts. - ()
- 35% - Plans, coordinates, and executes programs and initiatives that celebrate the culture, contributions and richness of underrepresented students to the campus community. Attends to the needs of underrepresented students by fostering allyship amongst and between underrepresented student populations, advocating and effectively communicating for them, ensuring these students have the resources to thrive at the University. - ()
- 10% - Collaborates with the EKU community and community partners to support the full college experience of students; including support for student orientation, career education, and celebrating the culture and future of underrepresented students. - ()
- 5% - Support office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - ()
