Job Summary/Basic Functions

Reporting to the Noel Studio Director of Writing, Communication, and Learning programs and The Library Director of Teaching and Learning, the Noel Studio Librarian will design and facilitate workshops alongside faculty from across the university, with a focus on first-year and General Education, that enhances student learning in areas of information literacy, writing, and communication. They will co-design learning experiences related to information literacy, writing, and communication with faculty. In addition, the Noel Studio Librarian will design and implement learning-focused resources to support and encourage student learners through in-person, hybrid, and online deliveries. They will also be a member of the Libraries Teaching and Learning Division and work alongside librarians to provide reference and research help as well as conduct library instruction sessions and serve as a library liaison to academic departments on campus. The Noel Studio Librarian will support student partners through appropriate professional development.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: MA/MS in Library/Information Studies from an ALA accredited program required.

Experience: One-year related experience required.

• 35% - Reference responsibilities: Staff online chat, work at reference desk, teach library instruction, both face-to-face and online - (Essential)

• 20% - Participate in service: activities that contribute to the operations and shared governance of the Library and Noel Studio, contributions that further the goals of the institution, and/or contributions to professional organizations service - (Essential)
