Job Description

The Director for the Center for Child and Human Development ( CCHD ) will be responsible for launching the Center for Child and Human Development and direct all of its deliverables activities, including the new Master of Social Work Program. The Director will also be in charge of staff recruitment and retention, fiscal management and overseeing the daily operations of the center.

Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee the general day to day operations of the CCHD including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, staff supervision, and budget planning and review
Recruit, hire, supervise and evaluate the performance of all professional staff and faculty for the CCHD
Facilitate staff development/training, staff meetings & parent education programs
Develop the curriculum for the Master of Social Work program and manage adherence to state and local regulations
Develop an accreditation plan and work closely with the University and community stakeholders to obtain regional/national accreditation in social work

Qualification Standards

Working knowledge of local, state and federal rules and regulations impacting the CCHD
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
Ability to effectively manage teams and support faculty
Detail-oriented and organized
Ability to work with the campus-wide team to advance the program’s mission and student learning outcomes
Experience in the use of MS Office, e-mail, internet, Google apps and other relevant computer software preferred

Education

Master of Social Work required; doctoral degree preferred
Previous experience working in a school and/or clinical environment
Previous experience with accreditation
