Position Summary:
The Rollins College Office of Marketing is seeking a digital video content (producer/editor) specialist with demonstrated skills and experience in video content development. We are looking for the right candidate who is constantly exploring the digital landscape for the “next trend” as inspiration but also has the prowess to take a video idea from conception to completion. You will be challenged to explore, adopt and implement the latest trends in social media and technology to keep communities engaged in all aspects of the College.

The perfect candidate understands internet culture. You love being creative, and creating high-quality creative work is your passion. You have demonstrated skills in developing and designing visual assets and recording and editing captivating videos for impactful storytelling. Your detailed project management mindset is vital in this role to ensure deliverables are on time and of high quality. The ability to prioritize efforts and help manage department workflow in a fast-paced environment is highly valued.

The ideal individual for this role will be skilled in the creation of consistently branded content that encourages sharing, engagement, and promotion of highly valuable initiatives. This specialist should be interested in not just producing dynamic content but also assessing and optimizing its value and return on investment. The ideal candidate will be an innovative creative with robust experience in the vertical video (Instagram Reels and TikTok), a big-picture thinker interested in adapting popular campaigns and strategies for the higher education environment, and an excellent communicator with a solid understanding of inclusive and diverse storytelling.

You will be responsible for a wide range of video productions from shooting original content to capitalizing on our robust b-roll library of footage that includes highly produced footage to UGC content from our students. Final video products will include everything from 15-second vertical TikTok ads to 10+ minute YouTube videos for our prospective students and families, alumni, and stakeholders.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Produce and create a video to support Rollins College's Marketing goals.
  • Design and develop strategic communications that visually and contextually communicate College messages.
  • Create and present original concepts and designs for highly visible multimedia projects and campaigns, including videos, social, animations, interviews, gifs, and web.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and develop content ideas for Rollins digital properties, while maintaining content quality standards and optimizing content for digital channels.
  • Develop scripts, coordinate shoot schedules, manage production timelines, and efficiently incorporate feedback to finalize video pieces on time.
  • Maintain quality and consistency across media types and web platforms and drive increased traffic and brand visibility.
  • Manage all raw footage and audio captured in our asset storage system.
  • Responsible for the use and basic maintenance of industry-leading video and audio equipment.
  • Monitor and report on trends and technologies.
  • Direct and/or train student ambassadors on visual storytelling best practices.
  • Work with faculty, staff, students, and the general public while providing creative direction.
  • Ability to graciously take direction and efficiently implement feedback.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively to keep multiple projects moving, but also work as part of a more integrated team on larger initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college.
  • At least two (2) years of combined film, video, photography, animation, content creation, and digital strategy
  • Proven, advanced experience with digital editing software (After Effects, Premiere Pro CC).
  • Animation and compositing skills.
  • Knowledge and success in creating Instagram Reels, TikToks, gifs, and animations.
  • Demonstrated success in communicating and creating in the social space.
  • Accustomed to the strategic use of social platforms for brand awareness and engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style necessary.
  • Skilled multi-tasker, excellent listener, and extremely organized.
  • Interest and experience in digital marketing and emerging trend video production.

Work Environment:

  • Orlando campus-based position, in an office/field environment, with the ability to flex and work from home.
  • Work requires visual strain and the use of a computer.
