Mental Health Professional– Part-time/ Telemedicine for Mental Health Services

 

SUMMARY of POSITION:

 

The Mental Health Professional at the Elders Community Health Clinic will report to the Clinic Director and be responsible for the following:

 

  • Direct clinical services, including diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, collateral intervention, and crisis intervention to patients S/He must meet a clinical productivity/service access expectation as set by the supervisor and the department Completes clinical and administrative processes and documentation in compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Applicant must possess a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field. S/he must be a current and valid Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) from Arkansas Professional Board. Additionally, s/he must pass Child Abuse and Neglect Registry check, State Police background check, and drug test.

 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Deliver individual therapy, collateral intervention, and crisis intervention to patients
  • Complies with Medicaid, insurance, Joint Commission, program, and departmental policies and procedures. Participation in administrative tasks such as medical reviews, treatment outcome projects, and program management staff, as needed to facilitate scheduling. Prior and continuing review authorization of services Transfer/referral of clients to other programs as needed Generate reports and cumulative data to be shared with appropriate campus and community members

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 

  • Must have exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously Strong interpersonal and communication skills to relate appropriately and effectively to diverse audiences. Review mental health education materials and provide input to increase effectiveness, cultural appropriateness, and relevance Work with Elders Clinic staff to create/distribute promotional materials for partners, community agencies and targeted audience. Must possess the ability to perform tele-health activities
