Job Description:

Research track faculty position for an outstanding PhD level individual who has at least three years postdoctoral training and has publication and external grant application experience. The individual will continue the research with the principal investigator on studying the mechanisms of prostate cancer bone metastases, tumor dormancy, and drug resistance in culture and in animal models, and will develop independent research direction in the prostate cancer research field.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in cancer biology or related field, required.
Two years hands on experience with cellular and molecular biology, required.
Two years experience with standard tissue culture, animal studies, molecular techniques and instrumentation utilized in a cancer biology research laboratory, required.
Demonstrated ability to write manuscripts and have them published in scientific journals, required.
Demonstrated ability to submit grant applications that are competitive for funding, required.
Ability to teach and assist students, staff and post docs in their research projects, required.
Ability to perform experiments with initiative and independence, required.
Ability to lead multiple research projects, required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, required.
Ability to work cooperatively with a multidisciplinary research team, required.
Ability to serve on departmental committees, required.
