POSITION DETAILS

The Lauder Associate Dean for NP Programs will provide dedicated and comprehensive oversight of the Evelyn Lauder Community Care Nurse Practitioner Program at Hunter College (https://hunter.cuny.edu/news/hunter-college-to-establish-the-evelyn-lauder-community-care-nurse-practitioner-program/) to ensure the program’s successful implementation and advance its mission. The Associate Dean will: work with Admissions to develop and support targeted recruitment plans; develop criteria and participate in the selection of Lauder NP student Fellows; identify and develop Community Partner sites and preceptors. The Associate Dean oversees Nurse Practitioner Programs including curriculum, mentors Nurse Practitioner Coordinators and faculty, and provides guest lectures. Manage budget in conjunction with Finance Officer. Develop and oversee evaluation/tracking of program outcomes and draft reports. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments, performing administrative, supervisory, and other functions as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position is in CUNY’s Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and eight years’ related experience. Additional qualifications are defined below by the College.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field with a MS in Nursing. The applicant’s scholarship should align with the Programs’ mission including expertise in promoting health equity and managing complex care needs. Active involvement in professional organizations and is nationally recognized as an expert in primary care. Academic teaching experience demonstrating leadership in developing curricula and excellence in teaching as well at least 5 years of advanced practice clinical experience, preferably in health centers serving underserved communities.

New York State license as a registered nurse and New York State Nurse Practitioner Licensure (Adult/Gerontology, Family or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner).

VACCINE REQUIREMENT

Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary commensurate with education and experience ($150,000 - $180,000).
