The Learning and Brain Development Lab (https://lbdlpsych.sites.northeastern.edu/) at Northeastern University in Boston, MA (PI: Juliet Y. Davidow) is excited to invite applications for a Lab Technician. The Lab Technician will be responsible for the general administration and supervision of the lab as well as conducting experiments in collaboration with the PI and other lab members.

This full-time position will be an ideal way to learn more about research in psychology and neuroscience for individuals considering future graduate study in these fields. The start date is flexible; the individual could start as early as January and as late as September 2023. This is a 1 or 2-year position (renewal for year 2 is contingent on performance).

The lab investigates how healthy neurodevelopment during adolescence influences behaviors like learning, decision-making, and executive functions. We use a variety of tools to ask about neural and behavioral mechanisms, including creative behavioral paradigms, computational models, and non-invasive brain imaging, conducted on campus at NUBIC, a state-of-the-art imaging center with a research dedicated Siemens MAGNETOM Prisma 3T MRI scanner https://web.northeastern.edu/nubic/about/equipment/.

Qualification:

A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in psychology, neuroscience, math, computer science, or other related field is required by the start date; a Master's Degree (MA/MS) is desirable but not required. Experience conducting research, or with one or more of the following is beneficial (but not required) and should be mentioned in the application: interacting with children, adolescents, and families, conducting statistical analyses, working with brain imaging data, and coding in computer languages.
