About the Opportunity

Job Summary:

Project Controls Specialist will provide cost analysis on contracts and expenditures for all projects in the Capital Program. Collect actual and projected costs on assigned projects and analyze status of contracts and expenditures. Prepare reports on capital expenditures and utilization of funding including anticipated and actual cash flow curves and analysis to support the finance aspects. Participate in planning meetings to assist in developing Critical Path Methods schedules that identified critical activities, project relationships and cash flow needs and analyses. Administer all Project Controls software and computer systems. Install and configures software specific to the Capital Program throughout the Division. Provide technical assistance on the operation and maintenance of specific Capital Program software throughout the Division. Interface with Information Services to establish and monitor network access rights to Capital Programs computer servers, which contain Capital Program data. Provide technical computer assistance to project managers on scheduling and cost control software. Develop and maintain specialized databases. Provide training and ongoing support for end users of Capital Programs systems. Develop web-based program management system. Define system requirements and implementation of the program management systems. Develop automated business processes within the program management system for approvals. Develop user manuals for the program management systems. Program management system training for all user types; help-desk function ongoing administration and configuration the program management system.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering or Business Administration or related field or equivalent professional work experience required. Experience in Related Field: 5-7 years of experience in project scheduling, estimating, controls, budgeting and database management on capital projects preferred. Unique Expertise: Working knowledge of project scheduling software such as Primavera P6; cost control software such as e-Builder, PM Web, Primavera Expedition, Oracle Contract Manager; office automation software such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint); database report writers such as Info maker or Crystal and understanding of relational databases and SQL.
