The basics of this position:

The Humanities Department at STLCC-Meramec is seeking a full time, temporary faculty member in History for the fall 2023-spring 2024 academic year.

What you'll do:
  • The teaching load is 5 courses per semester. Hold ten campus hours per week.
    The successful candidate will be able to teach the following courses: United States History to 1865, Ancient and Medieval History to 1500, and Western Civilization from 1500 to the Present. The successful candidate will be able to employ multiple instructional strategies to engage a diverse body of students with different levels of preparedness. Preference will be given to candidates with college/university teaching experience.

    The teaching load is 5 courses per semester. Additionally, while full-time temporary instructors are not expected to serve on committees, they are required to hold ten campus hours per week.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Minimum of a Master's degree in U.S. History (or) a Master's degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate student hours in the discipline or subfield.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D in History
College/University teaching experience
