Position Summary

Trinity College, Hartford (CT), seeks candidates for a tenure track appointment in the Department of Philosophy. The appointment will be at the level of Assistant Professor, tenure track, beginning August 2022. Ph.D. in Philosophy required. AOS : Africana Philosophy OR Indigenous Philosophy (including Native American philosophy) OR Latin American Philosophy. AOC : Continental Philosophy. The successful candidate will teach classes pertaining to both the AOS and AOC, including courses dealing with social-political issues relating to post-colonial / decolonial thought. Five courses per year (reduced to four during the first two years). Trinity is a liberal arts college located in, and deeply engaged with, Connecticut’s capital city of Hartford. Our 2,200 students come from all socio-economic, racial, religious, and ethnic backgrounds across the US, and 17 percent are international.
