ATSU - Boiler Plant Operator

A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking a part-time, non-exempt Boiler Plant Operator on the Kirksville, Missouri, campus. The position reports to the Boiler Plant Supervisor. The Boiler Plant Operator is responsible for boiler operations and equipment.

Major Job Duties

• Monitor boilers and equipment during work shift
• Perform data entry
• Repair as needed
• Report problems
• Test water treatment
• Operate as safety and to maintain system
• Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled
• Perform safety checks
• Follow-up on work assignments
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed and scheduled
• Assist with repairs
• Get equipment clean and ready for inspection as assigned or required

Skills/Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledge of boiler operations, steam systems, repair mechanical, plumbing, electrical
• Ability to work with people
• Mechanical skills
• Ability to follow instructions
• Possess common work knowledge
• Dependable
• Able to work alone
• Able to work all and any shift/day as scheduled
• On call
• Know safe operations
