Employer Relations Coordinator

Primary Purpose of Position:
This position coordinates on-campus recruiting programs and provides office management support to the Office of Career Services. This person handles all logistics, processes, reporting, and operations for campus career fairs, hiring events, information sessions, campus interviews, as well as employment postings to online career services databases. The person will be responsible for providing students with career preparation for employment including resume, interview, and job search strategies. This position will require increased knowledge of career development, customer service, and employer relations to support the cultivation of employment opportunities.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Master’s degree; or an equivalent combination of a Bachelor’s degree and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Perform outreach by cold calling employers, following up on leads, networking, and sending direct mail initiatives
• Perform outreach and marketing strategies to engage students in on-campus recruiting programs and employment services (i.e. applying to job postings)
• Organize and set the annual recruiting calendar, including all deadlines and processes.
• Schedule dates for employer information sessions, interviews, and fairs.
• Establish guidelines for student participation in recruiting program, and enforce student adherence to recruiting deadlines, procedures, and schedules.
• Maintain all data management systems for all scheduling, interviewing, and registration components.
• Coordinate communication to students and employers regarding recruitment activities.
• Develop marketing materials, including recruiting-related website documentation.
• Compose and strategize content and timing of a large volume of communications to students via career services social media and other online platforms.
• Collaborate with faculty/staff to increase employment opportunities for students.
• Coordinate and execute all aspects of campus career fairs and hiring events including registration, invoicing, employer and student solicitation, evaluation, and reporting.
• Recruit and train student work study staff.
• Provide career advising to students seeking assistance with resumes, interviewing, and job search strategies
• Compile statistical information for recruiting annual report. Contact company representatives for data collection, maintaining continual follow-up to ensure accurate results. Records and reports interview statistics
