The Application & Information Services (AIS) Group is responsible for planning, acquiring, developing, and maintaining the university's core business and student support systems.
AIS is seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer to join our Custom Solutions/Integrations team. This role will be responsible for designing and developing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform, including workflows, custom objects, Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components. The Salesforce Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and deploy new features and functionality, as well as maintain and enhance existing functionality
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and develop customized solutions within the Salesforce
platform to support critical business functions and meet project
objectives, client requirements, and University goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, develop,
and deploy new features and functionality.
- Develop and maintain Workflows and custom Apex code,
Visualforce pages, and Lightning components.
- Build integrations between Salesforce and external systems
using Talend and Openshift.
- Create and maintain system documentation, including technical
specifications and test plans.
- Participate in code reviews, and ensure code and configurations
adhere to Salesforce development best practices and coding
standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce
applications and integrations.
- Stay current with Salesforce updates and new technologies, and
make recommendations for their adoption.
- Provide occasional on call support outside of business
hours.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science or related field) and 3 to 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Required Skills:
- At least 3 years of experience developing on the Salesforce
platform, including Flows, Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning
components.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform functionality,
including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing
Cloud.
- Understanding of Salesforce data models such as HEDA and
NPSP.
- Experience with data integration/API platforms such as Talend
and Openshift.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
environment.
- Experience executing all levels of testing (Unit, System,
Integration, Regression.)
- Experience working on mission critical, highly available
solutions requiring occasional on call support outside of business
hours.
Desired but not required skills
- Experience as a senior level software developer in a higher
education institution and/or in support of fundraising.

Targeted Pay Range: $61,046- $125,000
This Targeted Pay Range is only applicable to this job posting.
