Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Senior Facility Manager for University Life Space Management the Facility Support Coordinator is responsible for the daily monitoring of physical conditions in Perelman Quadrangle and other University Life managed spaces.

The coordinator will respond to emergencies and coordinate services to addresses facility repair and maintenance needs, in addition to day-to-day operational needs.

A person in this role will be expected to complete regular building walkthroughs throughout the day identifying facility issues, tracking on-going work, and addressing security and safety risks.

This role will work closely with the operations team for mutual support and serve as part of building coverage as needed.

The role will establish and maintain regular communication with all areas of Facilities and Real Estate Services including Design and Construction, Operations and Maintenance, and direct area managers as well as housekeeping staff to ensure that University Life facilities are kept in professional, safe conditions.

The Coordinator will collaborate with Public Safety, Penn Police and Campus Access to insure appropriate access and response to emergencies.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities
  • Monitors building conditions in Perelman Quadrangle and other University Life managed spaces. Documents, coordinates and tracks necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Responds to emergencies and coordinates required attention. Supports the Operations and Events staff to ensure event housekeeping and security.
  • Monitors activities in University Life spaces on a flexible schedule including early morning and weekend hours, also including weekday hours and holidays as scheduled.
  • Supports the operations, services, and facilities to insure a consistent and continuous professional staff presence.
  • Complete regular building walkthroughs throughout the day assessing venue conditions, identifying facility issues, tracking on-going work, and addressing security and safety risks.
  • Performs area inspections, inventories and submits work request.
  • Attends project and building administrator meetings as assigned.
  • Communicates well with all areas of Facilities and Real Estate Services including Design and Construction, Operations and Maintenance, and direct area managers as well as housekeeping staff to ensure that University Life facilities
  • Works with the University of Pennsylvania Police Department and Penn Security Services to ensure the safety and security of University Life spaces.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
