Job Description:
DART 104 - Introduction to Maya

This course will introduce the Autodesk Maya 3D computer software, focusing upon polygonal modeling techniques. The student will combine modeling techniques, with critical thinking assignments to design models for the entertainment industry. Students will also focuses on learning design fundamentals by creating thumbnails, and silhouette sketching to aid in their design solutions.

To be determined between on campus classes at Fullerton College classes and off campus Dual Enrollment classes.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any Bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of professional experience directly related to the faculty’s teaching assignment

OR

Any Associate degree AND six years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment

OR

Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area

OR

the equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.

Desirable Qualifications:
Demonstrated professional experience and a background in introducing students to using the basics use Maya covering modeling, texturing, and rendering.

Experience successfully working in collaboration with full-time and adjunct faculty in coordinating and maintaining currency of curriculum that responds to the needs of historically underrepresented students.

Salary Range: Salary Range: $1286.03 - $1411.29 per lecture unit rate, $1028.85 - $1128.97 per lab unit rate
