Job Summary:
This position directs a comprehensive college-wide integrated planning and institutional effectiveness program that includes strategic planning, project management and outcomes assessment, including leading the staff responsible for research, assessment and institutional effectiveness. As NIC’s Accreditation Liaison Officer, this position ensures effective communication with the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) regarding all aspects of the College’s ongoing compliance with accreditation standards and requirements. The position serves as a resource to faculty and staff to interpret accreditation standards and provide guidance in completing forms and documents for submission to NWCCU and provides leadership in the preparation of self-studies and supervision of on-site visits from the commission. The director serves as a strategic advisor and key aide to the President and executive leadership team and directs, coordinates and facilitates the implementation and management of key strategic initiatives and projects.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience : Master’s degree from an accredited institution and four years of full-time equivalent supervisory experience, to include three years as a senior-level higher education administrator, preferably within a community college setting.
• Demonstrated experience in institutional effectiveness, data analysis, project planning, development, and implementation
• Demonstrated expertise in current principles and procedures of higher education strategic planning, communications, and institutional advancement
• Demonstrated experience in engagement in institutional accreditation
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to work effectively on teams and independently
• Strong organization and project management skills
• Knowledge of curriculum development
• Knowledge of student learning outcomes assessment
• Ability to lead small and large teams in meeting project goals
• Knowledge and understanding of institutional goals, objectives, structure, and operations
• Knowledge of applicable legislation, standards, policies, and procedures affecting the College
• Knowledge of cost analysis techniques, financial planning, and report preparation
• Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to successfully direct, coordinate, and strategically integrate multiple developmental, enhancement, and/or modification projects at an institutional level
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team building skills
• Ability to gather data, investigate and analyze information while being able to draw conclusions and issue recommendations
• Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects
• Ability to use a personal computer and associated peripherals and current version of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and Microsoft SharePoint, Internet, and alternative delivery systems (e.g., internet and interactive video) at a proficient level
• Ability to operate standard office equipment including phone and copier
