Duties and Responsibilities

Loyola University Chicago is seeking an Assistant Professor to teach seminars for graduate students in the MA and Ph.D. Programs; serve as a committee member for doctoral dissertations, MA theses, and honors theses in the areas of moral philosophy, moral psychology, and experimental philosophy; teach undergraduate classes; maintain an active research profile by attending conferences and publishing regularly in peer-reviewed journal articles. Serve on relevant committees both at the departmental level and within the field.

Qualifications

All but Diploma or earned PhD in Philosophy plus 2 years related experience. Prior experience must include: Publish peer reviewed articles in moral philosophy and moral psychology, and present original research in academic conferences; Serve as primary advisor on undergraduate theses in moral philosophy and analytic philosophy of art; Design and teach original seminars on the intersection of aesthetics and moral philosophy for advanced undergraduate students and design and teach introductory ethics courses for undergraduate students without prior philosophical background; Design and conduct experimental studies, data analysis
