Position Description

The Department of Student Involvement invites applications for the Assistant Director of Student Involvement and Fraternity & Sorority Life. Reporting to the Director of Student Involvement and First Year Programs, this individual will advise and support Rider’s 15 Fraternities and Sororities ( NPC, NPHC, IGC, IFC, MGC ). The Assistant Director will advise governing councils, plan events, and coordinate council and chapter activities.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • new member education programming, leadership advisement, risk management education, and promoting student engagement in a diverse array of campus opportunities;
  • overseeing club/organization management of SGA recognized student organizations and providing training, marketing and information about Bronc Nation and promoting Engaged Learning co-curricular learning opportunities for students;
  • serving as a contact and administrator for Bronc Nation, including oversight of deploying new Bronc Nation functionality in service to student organization involvement and engaged learning activities and requirement tracking, including that of service learning hours and reflection; and
  • development and implementation of student organization leader and advisor training.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Demonstrated experience in Fraternity and Sorority Affairs, Residence Life, Campus Activities, Community Service, and/or Community Standards
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing leadership in enhancing an atmosphere of diversity and inclusion
  • Demonstrated excellent relationship-building and sustaining skills and organizational skills
  • Flexibility with work schedule
