Faculty Position Description

The Bang College of Business invites applications for a faculty position in Accounting. Faculty are expected to teach various courses in Accounting for both undergraduate and graduate programs. The Bang College of Business offers Bachelor, Master, MBA and PhD programs. The appointment will start in Fall 2023 (August 16, 2023). Responsibilities involve teaching, research, and service.

Research Chair & Professor in Accounting

Bang College of Business (BCB) at KIMEP University invites applications for Research Chair & Professors in the field of Accounting. To be appointed as Research Chair Professor in Accounting, candidates must have a PhD in Business from an AACSB or EQUIS accredited school and/or working as a faculty in such accredited schools, and having demonstrated consistent and high level of scholarship published in SSCI and ABDC ranked journals. Candidates will be expected to publish at least one SSCI ABDC lister journal per year on average. The teaching load for this position will be 4 courses (12 hours) per academic year. Teaching responsibilities will include graduate courses at the Masters and PhD level courses. Furthermore, Research Chair professors are expected to lead research efforts of faculty members in their departments to engage in research projects. The rank for this position will be Associate Professor or Full Professor.

To be appointed as Research Professor in Accounting, candidates must have a PhD in Business from an AACSB or EQUIS accredited school and/or working as a faculty in such accredited schools, and having demonstrated consistent and high level of scholarship published in SSCI, ABDC or Scopus Q1-Q2 ranked journals. Candidates will be expected to publish at least one Scopus Q1-Q2 listed journal per year on average. The teaching load for this position will be 6 courses (18 hours) per academic year. Teaching responsibilities will include graduate courses at the Masters and PhD level. The rank for this position is open.

Compensation

Rank and salary are competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Compensation after-tax compares favorably with net salaries in western countries. Combined with a low cost of living, the salary is very competitive in real terms.

Limited on campus housing is available to rent. In addition to salary, a benefits package includes basic healthcare, reduced tuition rates for KIMEP courses, and subsidy for relocation allowance. The salary will be subject to 10% income tax.
